Pat attributes his 28 years of growth as an electrical engineer to the mentors that guided him, the colleagues that challenged him, and the clients that inspired him. His engineering experience spans a wide variety of projects including educational, corporate, critical environment, institutional, retail, and multi-family residential.
A Partner with OLA since 1993, and the firm President since 2001, Pat has contributed to the firm’s size and reputation by cultivating office culture and stressing professionalism, quality work, and service to OLA’s clients. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Business Council of Westchester, and is a member of the Board of Governors of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester. He was recently awarded Engineer of the Year by NSPE Westchester/Putnam Chapter.
Steve has been an integral part of OLA’s growth since joining the firm’s mechanical group in 1992. Truly a versatile engineer, Steve’s expertise pairs with an innate ability to evaluate industry trends and develop forward-thinking tactics.
A Principal since 2001, Steve is the driving force behind OLA’s daily operations from marketing initiatives, administrative support, and financial aspects. As mechanical engineer, many of his projects have received recognition from ACEC and CSE magazine. Steve spearheads the firm’s involvement with professional societies, speaking engagements, tradeshows, and more. He is a frequent speaker for state and local AIA chapters and has taught review courses for the licensing exam for Professional Engineers in the mechanical discipline.
Jim is a strong believer in the collection of knowledge from peers, experts, and experiences to design practical, yet progressive solutions for every client. Joining OLA in 2002, he applied this methodology to the growth and expansion of the firm’s specialty in energy analysis, modeling, and commissioning. Jim’s accumulation of education and experience as an engineer, both in commissioning and design, spans over 24 years and has delivered many projects recognized for their environmental consciousness. Projects have garnered recognition from ACEC, AIA, and NSPE. Jim speaks frequently to professional and academic organizations such as ASHRAE, NYSPE, AIA, and many universities throughout the region. He is currently in his second term as ASHRAE Bi-State Chapter President.
Beginning in High School, John has driven his career with an affinity and vast knowledge of electrical systems. Spanning 25 years, his technical expertise, breadth of clients, and experience with a range of projects depict an engineer capable of solving any challenge in front of him. John’s projects have brought both peer and industry recognition including ACEC.
Principal in Charge of Electrical Engineering since 2006, John’s continual interest in electrical engineering has made him a reliable resource to both OLA clients and engineers alike. Today, he mentors OLA’s electrical team through alternative electrical power such as solar and wind and challenges them to keep up with new technologies to bring dependable solutions for OLA clients.
Since joining OLA in 1993, Jill Walsh’s commitment to communication and pursuit of the right solution has driven OLA as a leader in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design. Many of her projects have received recognition from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and AIA.
Today, as Principal in Charge of Mechanical Engineering, Jill leads OLA’s mechanical disciplines with the same principles applied to her design work. Client relationships formed during her first year at OLA have grown and are still thriving. OLA clients know that regardless of how small or how large, Jill will put all of her energy into figuring out the solution best suited for their needs.
Since Joining OLA in 1993, Rob has been a vital component to OLA’s mechanical engineering success. His expertise spans two and a half decades and a multitude of projects covering renovation, restoration, and new construction. With experience on a wide variety of project types and a list of credentials beyond professional licensure including LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager, and Certified Plumbing Designer, he is looked to as a resource for many design challenges. Rob’s management and design style are symbiotic; he is thorough in the details and finds a solution for any challenge in front of him.
An Associate in the electrical engineering team, Dan’s management style is a clear reflection of his passion for detail. Dan believes a smooth and effective design delivery is a result of initial investigation while keeping current with industry news and requirements; he maintains the electrical design standards with updates such as codes and industry trends to provide OLA clients with current and reliable engineering solutions. Over 20 years, his experience spans the breadth of electrical engineering: electrical power distribution, emergency power, power generation systems, communication systems, fire alarm systems, and more.
With over 26 years solving electrical engineering problems, Joe’s breadth of knowledge spans the entire electrical spectrum from power distribution to alternative energy solutions. Prior to joining OLA in 2008, Joe worked for a prominent New York City A/E firm where he had risen to the position of chief electrical engineer and project manager. Today, as an Associate on OLA’s electrical engineering team, Joe brings a practical and innovative approach to commercial, transportation, and institutional facilities. His passion for the community is directly associated with his passion for the profession; Joe frequently volunteers his time including engineering field lighting and scoreboards at his local high school.
First joining OLA as a summer intern during college, becoming fulltime with the firm after graduation, and promoted to Associate in 2012, it has been Matt’s commitment to learn everything and anything that has accelerated his career. Obtaining professional licensure, becoming LEED AP, and with consistent participation in professional seminars/workshops, Matt brings a full and current understanding of all aspects of electrical systems to every project. His proficiency on power distribution, back-up and emergency power systems, fire alarm, lighting design, and low voltage systems provide clients with comprehensive electrical engineering solutions.
With an impressive roster of public and private clients, Rich is a true representation of the dedication engineering consultants should apply to every project. Prior to joining OLA in 2003, Rich garnered experience as lead mechanical engineer for NY consulting firms. Today, as an Associate in OLA’s mechanical engineering team, he guides his team with the tireless work ethic he gives to each client and every project. Rich was lead mechanical engineer for several high-profile projects receiving both ACEC and AIA recognition as well as a LEED Platinum project in NY.
Jonathan’s diverse background in HVAC design, energy modeling, and commissioning make him a valuable engineer for both clients and team members. His 18 years of engineering expertise pairs with Jonathan’s belief in a thorough team process. An essential part of OLA’s Energy Engineering. Since 2006, Jonathan approaches every project by collaborating and leading team members from initial project start-up through quality assurance. He has helped clients across multiple sectors develop high performing buildings with lower operating costs and increased efficiency. Many of Jonathan’s projects have achieved LEED certification, Energy Star designation, and have received significant utility incentives.
Camille’s 14 years of experience contains a history of high performance design, energy modeling, analysis, and commissioning for a wide array of clients. With credentials beyond professional licensure including LEED AP, CEM, and CPMP, Camille is seen as a resource for both clients and peers. Her knowledge in sustainability has taken many OLA projects from meeting standard design requirements and energy codes to high performance building operations and cost savings.
