Bard College Library Geothermal Project Wins DOE Better Project Award

The U.S. Department of Energy honored the Brightcore Energy and OLA team for the Bard College Library Geothermal Conversion with a Better Project Award—celebrated at this year’s awards event in Washington DC for its forward-thinking approach to energy efficiency.

This transformative project eliminated fuel oil use, reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 64%, and cut energy use by 38%—laying the groundwork for a more sustainable campus. The award honors innovative, high-impact efficiency projects across energy, water, and waste, and we’re proud to be among this year’s recognized leaders.
