We are currently seeking engineers in our Westchester office with a strong passion for involvement in the energy/commissioning engineering sector. These individuals will be trained in energy analysis and/or high performance design concepts, and will eventually be fully responsible for the planning and execution of all aspects of our energy services projects from the scoping and proposal stage through project completion. The successful candidate shall become an integral part of our expanding energy services group. The candidates should have the following capabilities or the ability to obtain:
• Passion for the energy engineering and commissioning sectors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas and concepts in both written and oral form
• Experience in the design of mechanical systems is preferred
• Knowledge of automation and controls systems, HVAC systems, gas distribution systems, commercial refrigeration as they relate to energy conservation for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities is preferred
• Knowledge of building and energy codes as well as energy standards
• Experience in performing some level of energy analysis of multiple system options and presenting recommendations in both a written and oral format is preferred
• Desire and capability to lead others in energy analysis and/or commissioning
• Be fully capable of working as a third party to design teams to assist in system selection and verify energy performance of various systems
• Knowledge of, or exposure to, the commissioning process from a global perspective
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering is required
• Entry level candidates need to satisfy education requirement and desire to work in energy, design, and commissioning engineering
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; knowledge of Revit a plus
• Exposure to EQuest, Visual DOE, or Energy Plus is preferred
• EIT preferred
• Experience or familiarity with energy analysis, energy modeling, or LEED requirements is a plus
