Electrical Engineer | Westchester (4-8 Years)

OLA has an immediate need for electrical engineers for key positions in our Westchester office. Candidates should have approximately four to eight (4-8) years of U.S. consulting experience in the design of electrical systems, including new services, distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm, and low voltage systems for commercial and institutional facilities. Responsibilities will include project management, mentoring junior engineers, field investigation, analysis, design, production of contract documents, and construction administration services. Successful candidates shall have the capability of working on multiple projects and must have good communications skills to relate to clients, other design professionals, contractors, vendors, and his/her peers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

• 4-8 years of U.S. experience with commercial electrical systems design

• EIT preferred, Professional Engineer a plus

• Familiarity with National Electric Code and NYC codes

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; knowledge of Revit a plus

• Project management or assistant project management experience

• Supervisory experience of junior engineers a plus

• LEED accreditation a plus

OLA is actively seeking electrical engineers for our NYC office with interest in consulting engineering for commercial and institutional facilities. Individuals will learn the skills to design electrical systems such as services, power distribution, UPS and emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and other related electrical systems. Responsibilities include field investigation, analysis, design, production of contract documents, and construction administration services. The ideal candidate must have communication skills to relate to clients, other design professionals, contractors, vendors, and his/her peers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Course work in power systems, lighting, or similar areas is preferred

• 1-3 years of consulting experience will be considered

• EIT preferred

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; knowledge of Revit a plus

• Familiarity with building electrical systems a plus

• LEED accreditation or interest in obtaining LEED accreditation a plus

Energy/Cx Engineer | Westchester (5-10 Years)

We are currently seeking an Energy/Commissioning Engineer in our Westchester office. This individual should possess:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas and concepts in both written and oral form

• Experience in proposal writing and project development

• Experience managing and training junior engineers

• Experience in performing and managing energy analysis

• Experience in performing and managing commissioning services

• Knowledge of automation and controls systems, HVAC systems, lighting, and lighting controls

• Experience in writing and reviewing Sequence of Operations for HVAC and lighting systems

• Knowledge of the design of mechanical and electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities

• Experience in the design of mechanical systems

• Knowledge of building and energy codes as well as energy standards


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• 5-10 years of U.S. consulting experience required

• DOE2, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or Energy Plus experience  preferred

• LEED, CEM, or commissioning accreditations preferred

• Professional registration, PE (Mechanical) preferred

Class of 2023 Entry Level Mechanical, Electrical & Energy Engineers | NYC & Westchester

OLA is seeking May 2023 engineering graduates for entry level positions for both our NYC and Westchester offices. Students interested in a career in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Energy Engineering should apply.
