Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Interested in a career designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems? OLA is seeking mechanical engineers for our Westchester County office. Responsibilities include field investigation, analysis, design, production of design documents, and construction administration services. Candidate shall have the capability of working on multiple projects and must have good communication skills to relate to clients, other design professionals, contractors, vendors, and his/her peers. OLA provides mentoring and on-site/off-site training for continuous learning.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• Entry level up to three years of U.S. consulting experience will be considered

• EIT preferred

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; knowledge of Revit a plus

• Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection as well as NFPA a plus

• LEED accreditation or knowledge of LEED a plus

Electrical Engineer (Entry Level)

OLA is actively seeking electrical engineers for our New York City and Westchester County offices with interest in consulting engineering for commercial and institutional facilities. Individuals will learn the skills to design electrical systems such as services, power distribution, UPS and emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and other related electrical systems. Responsibilities include field investigation, analysis, design, production of contract documents, and construction administration services. The ideal candidate must have communication skills to relate to clients, other design professionals, contractors, vendors, and his/her peers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Course work in power systems, lighting, or similar areas is preferred

• Entry level up to three years of consulting experience will be considered

• EIT preferred

• Knowledge of AutoCAD required (except for entry level); knowledge of Revit a plus

• Familiarity with building electrical systems a plus

• LEED accreditation or interest in obtaining LEED accreditation a plus

Electrical Engineer

OLA has an immediate need for electrical engineers in our New York City office. Candidates should have approximately four to eight years of U.S. consulting experience in the design of electrical systems, including new services, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm, and low voltage systems for commercial and institutional facilities. Responsibilities include field investigation, analysis, design, production of contract documents, and construction administration services. Candidate shall have the capability of working on multiple projects and must have good communication skills to relate to clients, other design professionals, contractors, vendors, and his/her peers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• 4-8 years of U.S. experience with commercial electrical systems design

• EIT preferred; PE a plus

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; knowledge of Revit preferred

• Familiarity with National Electric Code and NYC codes

• LEED accreditation a plus

Energy/Commissioning Engineer

An energy/commissioning engineer position at OLA places you among a strong, passionate team trained in commissioning, energy analysis, and high performance design concepts. The ideal candidate to join our Westchester County team has:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas and concepts in both written and oral form.

• Experience in performing energy analysis of multiple system options and presenting recommendations in both a written and oral format.

• Fully capable of working as a third party to design teams to assist in system selection and verify energy performance of various systems.

• Knowledge of, and experience with, the commissioning process.

• Knowledge of automation and controls systems, HVAC systems, and lighting and lighting controls.

• Knowledge of the design of mechanical and electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities as they relate to energy conservation is preferred.

• Knowledge of building and energy codes as well as energy standards.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• 8-12 years of U.S. consulting experience required

• DOE2, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or Energy Plus experience preferred

• LEED, CEM, or CCP accreditations preferred

• Professional Registration, PE, or EIT a plus

• Energy analysis, energy modeling, or commissioning knowledge and experience
